TIPS ON HEALTHY HAIR FOR BLEACHED OR DAMAGED HAIR

Hi everyone So today I just wanted to share some tips and tricks that I have for keeping my hair healthy I've been bleaching it for about two years now and although I've been changing the color the routine is just about the same so let's just start with kind of my hair routine when I wash it so first off I do not wash my hair more than once a week I will go the whole week without washing it and I don't even use dry shampoo so at first if you want to try washing your hair once a week you'll notice that your hair gets really greasy let's say you've been washing your hair two or three times a week and you notice that it gets greasy on the third day for me my hair doesn't get greasy until the sixth or seventh day that's because I've trained my hair to not need to get greasy because the washing that you do is actually washing off all those oils that you hair needs if you don't wash it as often you'll find that your hair will say "oh okay, so I don't need to pump so many oils onto these hair follicles because the oils are getting to into where they need to get, into the hair so that's been a huge help for me you could start by pushing that shower day one day further anyway, that's just the first thing I do now I'm going to tell you about my actual shower routine when my hair was white and I was trying to get that yellow bleached color out even after bleaching and toning I would use Shimmer Lights by Clairol Professional I would get this from Sally's Beauty and I would use it mainly in the root area the recommendation for Shimmer Lights is to first to shampoo your hair and then rinse it out and then you shampoo again and you leave it in and I usually leave it in for about four minutes so I just shampoo once a week right and if I don't use Shimmer Lights I use a moisturizing shampoo and this one is by Loreal it is their Apricot Oil Deep Nourish shampoo and then I rinse it out and then after that I use conditioner and I think conditioner is super important when you have bleached or damaged hair so right now I'm using just a cheaper conditioner reason number one I am using a cheap conditioner is because I use a lot and I think maybe you should too just really saturate your hair and I think you really want to saturate the ends start from the bottom and just add it and go up I go about mid-way, go about here and I let it sit in my hair for about five minutes and then I rinse and then use body wash because girl there is oils in there and you don't want that sitting on your back and getting back acne next step is get out of the shower and towel dry and here is something you should not do you know how you get the towel and you have your hair like this and you get the towel and you kind of rub it around some people do that, maybe you don't don't do that it's going to damage your hair a little bit more instead you just lightly press the towel into your hair and once I'm dressed or close to being dressed I will first thing is grab my Argon oil I get the Argon oil and I don't even use that much I get like this much and I just kind of rub it around in my fingers and I get the the ends of my hair and just kind of rub it through this is going to restore those oils that you just stripped off your hair from showering so the other product that I use is by Ion, it's Repair Solutions and it is a split end mender I don't use this all the time but I just take a little bit and I'll just add that to my hair as well so that's just what I do after showering and believe it or not I don't use any heat on my hair if I can help it and if you can help it do that too do not blow dry and if you do, do it on a cool setting do not use a heat iron or a curling iron or anything like that if you can help it if I want beautiful beach waves I'm going to braid my hair so after my hair is dry or mostly dry I will then get my brush this is a Wet Brush and it was recommended to me by my stylist and it is so great if you have never used a Wet Brush, game changer and I'll just start brushing from the ends and you never want to pull really hard, you don't want to hear that ripping sound and the last few tips that I can give you is not to use really tight pony tails or having your hair in a pony tail all the time because the strength of those elastics is going to start kinking your hair and slowly damaging your hair where they could start breaking up there where your pony tail holder is I'm not saying don't ever do it I'm saying use larger scrunchies and I'm saying don't do it all the time this routine, I've found has kept my hair from feeling dry and you know that horrible limp spaghetti feeling that you get after after you know, bleaching your hair when it's wet this has helped my hair recover so much quicker than anything else I've tried so let me know in the comments what you do to keep your hair healthy maybe I should try that as well I'd love to hear what you think about my ideas and if there is anything else I could be doing so, yeah, let me know and I will talk to you later bye
